Inaugural speech Prof. Ronald Bontrop PhD: ‘There must be a difference’

On 27 October 2010 at Utrecht University Prof. Ronald Bontrop, PhD, director of the BPRC held his inaugural speech entitled: ‘There must be a difference’. During his speech that was attended by many national and international collegues he underlined the importance of the presence of the huge variety of Major Histo Compatibility (MHC) molecules.

With this speech he accepted his position as professor by special appointment in ‘Comparative immunogenetics’ at the department of Biology of the faculty of Science. The BPRC is pleased with this important milestone that further emphasizes the importance of its scientific work.
