Farewell Symposium Alan Thomas

20th May 2010 marked a scientific symposium in honour of the farewell of Alan Thomas, chairman of the department of Parasitology. During this heavily visited, stimulating symposium, prominent collegues from the Netherlands and abroad expressed their appreciation on the strong contribution Alan has made to national and international science.

During the 18 years Alan worked at BPRC he has developed and expanded important lines of research within parasitology. Moreover, he has played a very constructive role in the development of the BPRC. We thank Alan for all his efforts and wish him and his family the best.
